Why did you want the procedure?

I have wanted a Breast Enlargement for as long as I can remember, when I was at school all the other girls were developing breasts and I didn’t. As I got older, I felt that they held me back from having the figure I really wanted and turned to Extreme Push-Up bra’s and wishing that one day my tiny boobs would develop into something that didn’t resemble a couple of insect bites on my chest!

I started researching Breast Enlargement at age 18 and went for my first consultation at another Cosmetic Surgery company and was really disappointed by the way they handled everything, so I put my dreams of having boobs to the back of my mind.

How did you choose MYA?

My self confidence was at an all time low, I was speaking with a Family Friend who told me she was going to MYA Cosmetic Surgery for Breast Enlargement and after talking to her about everything I decided to put my previous disappointment and concerns aside and book in for a consultation at the Leeds Clinic. The difference was instantly recognisable and my initial consultation with my Patient Co-ordinator Aimee was so friendly, informative and really put me at ease. I knew straight away that MYA was the company I was going to go with for my surgery and finally have the boobs I have wanted since I was at school! I booked my surgery date then for the 17th February 2017, a late Valentine’s Day present from me, to me! I applied for a loan from my bank and paid the full amount to confirm my surgery shortly after.

Were your friends and family supportive?

My Friends, Family and Partner were all nervous for me, but all understood how badly I wanted to go ahead with the procedure so were all really supportive. Some of my family didn’t know as I wanted to keep it private from them, but my main support came from my Mum who came with me to my consultations and even drove me to the hospital on my surgery day.

How were your consultations?

Everyone I met at MYA were very kind and friendly, and I felt ‘looked after’ by everyone. My Patient Co-Ordinator was there for me through everything, it felt like I had someone to talk to about anything throughout my whole journey with MYA. But no one was more informative and ‘straight-talking’ and my Surgeon Mr Kazzazi. He was so helpful with answering my questions about sizing, he made me feel really at ease with any examination and helped me with questions I had, coming out of my consultation with him made me even more excited about my procedure and I couldn’t wait!

How was your surgery day?

The 17th February came round so quickly, and my admission time was not until mid-afternoon, I spent the day staring at the clock in my living room waiting to set off and meet my new boobs and Mr Kazzazi. When I arrived at the hospital I couldn’t sit still, I was so excited and when Mr Kazzazi came in to take the final pre-op photos and draw lines on my chest for surgery my heart was beating so quickly because I was so excited and nervous. This has been my only surgical experience and I couldn’t think of a better environment for me to be in and I felt like I was in the best hands.

How was your recovery?

Post-Op I was sleepy and felt quite groggy, I was uncomfortable, and my boobs were all strapped up. They were hot to touch and tender and sat very high on my chest and looked very pointy. For the first few days I was uncomfortable and struggled to sleep and move around freely. I went for my strapping taking off and looked in the mirror at some very strange looking boobs! They were shiny, hard and very pointy. However, within a few weeks one dropped to a more ‘normal’ position quickly followed by the other and I completely fell in love with them, I thanked my surgeon a thousand times when I saw him 6 months later for giving me my confidence and making me feel amazing.

How do you feel now?

Now, I can barely remember ‘life before boobs’ and love being able to wear clothes and bikinis I couldn’t before. I celebrated my 1 year ‘Boobiversary’ recently and I’m so happy with my results! I am now a 32F and I feel like this is the size I was meant to be. I had an amazing experience with MYA and I couldn’t thank everyone enough.
