What causes sagging of the breasts?
There are multiple causes of breast sagging. One cause is losing skin elasticity with age. With the skin becoming less tight the weight of the breast tissue causes the breasts to drop as it is pulled down with gravity. Breast ptosis can develop in all size breasts, however it is most common in larger breasts due to more breast tissue.
Breast tissue fluctuates in size and weight overtime. Common causes for breast sagging can be due to hormone changes, pregnancy, weight gain and loss, as well as, menopause.
Many individuals notice their breasts have started to sag after breastfeeding. This is due to the breasts increasing and decreasing in size during this time.
Can you fix sagging breasts naturally?
No, there is no way of fixing sagging breasts without undergoing cosmetic surgery.
In the meantime, or if surgery is not an option, some women choose to have a professional fitted bra to temporally help with the appearance of their breasts.
In some cases, exercises such as training upper body and chest, can help the appearance o the breasts, however this has minimal effect and is not a permanent fix.
Will exercise help?
Exercise will not change the breasts themselves however focusing on upper body workouts, such as chest exercises, will tone the chest area, making the chest muscles firmer, more defined and can help your breasts sit slightly higher on the chest wall.
Will diet help?
Keeping up with a healthy balanced diet will help you maintain a steady weight, preventing excessive weight gain or weight loss which can cause the breasts to sag.

What procedure can help sagging breasts?
A breast uplift (Mastopexy) and a breast reduction, are the most common procedures to help with the sagging of the breast. Patients who consider breast lift and reduction surgery are typically wanting to achieve a fuller, uplifted breast shape. During a breast uplift the surgeon removes excess skin and repositions the breast tissue and nipple to achieve a more lifted appearance. During a breast reduction, breast tissue is also removed to reduce the size of the breast.
